Join us for a conversation with Iyad Mouawad and Mazen Abou Hamdan, two civil society activists from Lebanon. They will offer insights into the current situation, discussing the war’s impact on Lebanese society and its people, and how they are coping with these challenging circumstances.

About the speakers:

Iyad Mouawad, has over a decade of experience driving impactful work across the MENA region’s developmental sector - with a special focus on Lebanon. Working with a wide range of NGOs, Iyad’s contributions interweaves culture, identity, education, art, peace building, and history to foster transformative change in Lebanon.

Mazen Abou Hamdan is an expert in good governance, peace-building, and civic engagement, and he is a co-founder of Ground Up Consulting. Mazen is an activist in several Lebanese civil society organizations and he is a trainer and an author of several training manuals on Human Rights Education, conflict resolution, Nonviolent Communication, Nonviolent Direct Action, good governance, and advocacy.
