How can we preserve our humanity when war dominates everyday life?
Join us for an evening that goes beyond headlines and breaking news — offering a direct insight into the human consequences of Russia’s war of aggression in Ukraine. We will speak with members of Pro Peace’s Empathy Project about their work during wartime, about moments when empathy opens doors, and about what makes hope and healing possible. You will have the opportunity to ask questions, listen, and understand how psychosocial support truly works in practice.

Since 2022, one of Pro Peace’s main focuses in Ukraine has been providing psychosocial support to a society deeply affected and traumatized by war. The Empathy Project creates safe spaces for people whose lives have been marked by violence and loss for years. Its target groups include displaced families and those mourning loved ones — but also the helpers themselves: psychologists, teachers, and social workers striving to meet the immense need for emotional support while often working on the brink of burnout. To address these challenges, the project fosters human connection, healing, and emotional care that is accessible, inclusive, and sustainable.
