The program explored the intersection of peacebuilding and climate change, aiming to equip participants with the knowledge, skills, and motivation to drive change in their communities. Through a combination of lectures, interactive exercises, and field visits, participants learned about non-violent conflict transformation and the impact of climate change on peace and conflict. The exchange also promoted intercultural dialogue and collaboration over the course of the week.
The participants shared some of their insights: “Well, my expectations before coming were that I would meet new people, learn and have fun. And I got way much more than that. I have gained wisdom and inspiration that will serve me for many years to come.” The other one noted: “That even if we are from small countries, we can do big things when we come back to our communities”.
The exchange was executed in cooperation with Pro Peace's partner organizations Youth for Peace and Adopt Srebrenica from BIH, Public Youth Center Skenderaj; Roma in Action, SIT- Center for Counseling, Social Services and Research from Kosovo, Association for Development and Activism (AKVA) and Organized Youth Association (OYA), Gostivar from North Macedonia and LINK, Sombor and Livrit, Preševo, from Serbia.
