Local Conflict Counselling (LCC) has been supporting municipalities in Germany in dealing constructively with social conflicts since 2009. It is a tried-and-tested and scientifically grounded approach. We are currently active in eight municipalities - an overview.

Local Conflict Counselling does not offer ready-made solutions, but supports local people in developing options for action that are appropriate to local circumstances. Conflicts arise wherever people live. Our cooperation partners represent the entire diversity of community life in Germany - from the East Frisian county to the capital city district. What these municipalities have in common is that they seek to see integration as an opportunity for positive change.

We are currently working with the following cities and municipalities to provide Local Conflict Counselling:

  • Berlin
  • Boizenburg (Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania)
  • Bonn ( North Rhine-Westphalia)
  • Gelsenkirchen ( North Rhine-Westphalia)
  • Herne ( North Rhine-Westphalia)
  • Hildesheim (Lower Saxony)
  • Torgelow (Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania)
  • Wesermarsch (Lower Saxony)

Councelling projects already completed:

  • Mannheim (Baden-Württemberg)

  • District of Peine (Lower Saxony)
  • City of Peine (Lower Saxony)
  • Quakenbrück (Lower Saxony)
