Local Conflicts in Germany

We want to continuously develop our work in the Local Conflicts programme and ensure the quality of our training and advisory services. This is why we work together with various stakeholders from the scientific community. We are currently conducting research into the impact and effectiveness of local conflict counselling as part of a participatory research project with researchers from the University of Augsburg. In addition, our training programme for municipal actors is being scientifically supported by ConflictA.

Our aim is to strengthen the way local conflicts are dealt with in Germany. We would therefore like to share our expertise and experience in this field by organising regular courses at German universities in addition to our training courses for local and municipal actors. In this way, we contribute to the further development of the field of conflict transformation at municipal level in academic discourse.

We are also developing overarching practical standards for our Local Conflict Counselling approach together with the K3B - Kompetenzzentrum Kommunale Konfliktberatung - des Vereins zur Förderung der Bildung Salzwedel.
